Afternoon Pinball

Postby Dropshot on Tue Jan 06, 2009 3:12 pm

I am going to head up to O'Malley's on Foster this afternoon around 3 to play No Fear and No Good Gofer's. If anyone wants to join feel free. Also, I have found a Circus Voltaire I am going to hit up with Jay tomorrow, this place also has two other machines as well. If anyone wants in on that let me know as well.

You're out of the loop! O'Malley's switched operators. They now have Pirates and Revenge.

Also, add that Circus and stuff to the map, ho.

You are correct things have been changed, Revenge plays very well, not so much for Pirates. It actually plays very well but it leans so hard to the left its a joke. I am buddies with Scott, and i know Dominique who does most of MA maintenance so I think I just may bring in some wrenches next time and go to work on those legs. Rom is that your GC on revenge? It may be mine from when it was at the Lutz, but I am not sure. I put up a 1st at 350 or so. And find your on CV, that one is mine bitch! I am gonna go check out the condition of it tomorrow then I will add it.

Fuck I am not going down there at 4 to fight traffic both ways. It's at a laser tag place down in Milwaukee in the Holly Farms strip mall area or something. I don't fucking know quit asking me questions. They also have AFM, who knows both might be in crap condition, or in great condition. That 440 by DDT is a good score, I completed 7 modes and even beat the grandmother ship and couldn't reach it. I have yet to complete all 9 modes though, I am guessing it is either huge, or it just restarts everything. I like how RFM doesn't give out replays, but instead gives EBs.

I think that's an adjustment, not a game feature. Most SS games give you the option of changing the replay award from credits to extra balls (or nothing), with credits usually being factory default. Some WPC-era games can even be set to give out redemption tickets for replay scores.

Shorty's RFM definitely gave me a credit for a replay.

Actually, you're right. I did some research and RFM (and I'm guessing SWE1 too) cannot be set to give out a credit for score award 1 - only extra ball, tickets, or audit (nothing). In software version 1.00 they introduced the ability to award credits for score award 2, but the software was never revised to allow this for score award 1. This is probably how I got the replay credit at Shorty's.
