All tournaments will run from 6-8 for qualifying. With finals to follow. $5 entry for 1 chance qualify on the tournament machine. 1-4 will then playoff and 5-8 will do the same.

There should be 1 machine on free play to warm up on and 1 machine for the tourney also on free play.

Here is some more information on these events:

These events are endorsed by the IFPA, so IFPA boints will be awarded for them. I am running the Wednesday night events and Aaron is running the Thursday night events.

The IFPA has specified the following prizes for the events:

1st place - Trophy and 40% of the cash pot
2nd place - 30% of the cash pot
3rd place - 20% of the cash pot
4th place - 10% of the cash pot
5th through 8th place - $10

I note that in order for 4th place to receive at least $10, at least 28 people need to participate. I reserve the right to change the prize structure for the events I'm running if fewer than 28 people show up.

I'm assuming Ifpa boints are split up between the 4 or is it full boints for each event

I'm not sure how the boints will be awarded. I have sent an email to the IFPA asking them to clarify how the boints will be awarded and I will post here when I hear back.

The boints will be shared amongst all the Portland launch parties over the calendar year.

With the 4 being held for Transformers, this will make 6 total.

The email I initially received from the IFPA indicated that they are shipping out trophies "along with some other goodies". However, they did not elaborate on what those other goodies might be. I am not aware of any prizes to be awarded other than what I previously discussed.

Just got off the phone with Nikkie at the Apex, she informed me that the tourney is next Friday 10/28.
