I played Pat on Earth Shaker my first game...

I'm not calling shenanigans here... but it might be a reasonable policy in the future for a neutral party to be clicking the "random" button. Since, obviously, 6-7 Creature games (the one game you really wanted to play) in a row may look suspicious to some people. What are people's thoughts?

Yeah - not a bad idea - but we've all had nights where we "had to play game X" over and over and over. With 4 machines in the mix, it's bound to happen. To insure that a player didn't draw it again (ie redraw) would be bogus. . . BUT, having a 3rd party draw the games towards the end ain't a bad idea.

Nice win zoe! If we ever make the ultimate tournament software, randomization would be totally objective. Until then, someone must be the, uh, "decider."

Zoe whooped my ass fair and square. Sometimes you get lucky with machines and match-ups and a lot of times you don't. oh, and if anybody messes with my good leg, i gonna play on a hover-round, bitches.

Also, in the past I've been witness to a third party clicking the 'random' for games that the Decider is playing.

Yep. Pretty much the machine draw would be weighted depending on how many times each player played a machine.

For example, say a match had to be drawn at Foggy Notion with every machine available. Player A has played Creature 2x and Avatar 1x, Player B has played Creature 1x, Avatar 1x and Earthshaker 1x. The algorithm would add all those counts together and weight the probability accordingly. When it decides the machine, Roadshow has a 50% chance of being drawn, Earthshaker 25%, Avatar 15% and Creature 10%.

There could even be caps on how many times a player could play a machine so many times in a row or so many times ever in one tournament. Yay code!

Thanks to everyone who came out last night. We were super glad to have you and it seemed like everyone enjoyed themselves.
We put in 4 machines just for stuff like this and hope to do more events in the future. Shout out to QDub and Sauce for making sure the machines were in great shape.
