Sorry I had to change it. I was looking into what they have going on during a Thursday evening and I didn't like what I saw. It was college night with lots of promos, a DJ all night and dancing in the adjacent room which possibly could mean the pinball area. Fuck that. Sorry Fred!

i believe the dancing and djs was from when it was supposed to be at portsmouth pizza (i also caught you editing, dropshot). which i similarly can't imagine, but hey, i don't know what the college kids are doing these days.

i always wonder if the food's worth the effort whenever we're playing at 'local drinking holes'.

what's good here? or is it just another Standard? ack

I think that question deserves it's own thread. I'll add it to the list of topics.

Unlike the Standard, they have a dedicated cook.

I've had some kick ass tacos at the Vern.

but I haven't been there in a while...

Playing NGG in complete silence is really weird. A good example of how much of pinball is an audible experience. Hopefully they've fixed the sound on it!

Vern has a history of choosing to turn the sound completely off on machines.

Are you sure this is something to "fix"?

Sound is still off on ngg.
MM has misadjusted flippers, but at least their both the same. ie can't hold balls on them. 5-10 mm short.

T2 is almost nicest 1 I've seen. And MB is SOL on ball saves except first Multi.

I kind of want to check out a dance night at the Vern, just to see who would show up to something like that.

Hung out here for a while last night. That MM is horrendous. The flippers barely have the power to get a ball up the ramps.

The power's fine, they just need to be adjusted.

Who owns these machines anyway? I didn't see a label, when I glanced for 1.

Other than Ricochet, Quality and sometimes Quarter World you NEED TO TELL THE BARTENDER OR CALL THE OPERATOR YOURSELF. Besides, Glen is about to have the best MM in town once he puts the brand spanking new playfield he bought 10 years ago for $100 in the one he took out of the Ship.
