over the weekend deathsave was telling me that next year, in order to comply with the IFPA, we're going to have to announce these tournaments a month in advance. Not that that's a big deal. and not that I don't believe deathsave. But, Noah do you know about this? etc?

That's the word on the street. We just set up a months worth of tourny's on the calender and submit that to the IFPA /WPPR with the proper notice. That means we should set up January now I guess?

This way everyone in the world is properly notified should they want to attend. With any luck this will create more organization and make it easier for more non-local ballers to attend! The more the better :)

Its a good thing now we all have a month notice so we can practice for each tourney as we choose and also it gets rid of last minute changes

So what happens if a location loses a machine two days before the tournament is supposed to start? Or if one of the machines is down? We just cancel the tournament? I guess we could just play for money - f the boints!

I have next months tourneys already set-up. The 4 spots in January are going to be Ship, BOG, Shangai, and Clinton.

I am actually iffy on the BOG as well, there isn't that much room there nor lighting. You have until tomorrow morning to convince me to change it, maybe GK?

Why don't we do GK? Would that add to the Pinbrawl boints or be separate? If it adds to Pinbrawl, it seems like we are screwing ourselves by not having 3 weeklies there in addition to the annual tourney....

I agree, it would be nice to have something at GK. Maybe if we gave Mark a week's notice he could go over 4 machines and get them into top shape.

Under the current WPPR rules the Portland Pinbrawl would be scored separately from a GK weekly since it's an annual event, much the same way the Showdown is scored separately from the weekly Slabtown tournaments.

I give you . . . . the results. In the final we tested out a new rule. The winner of the winners bracket can choose a game, and the opponent can agree, or opt for a random selection. I chose Dracula . . . DannyB pondered for about 78 seconds whether or not to play it. He opted for random selection and we drew Roadshow. DannyB had a crushing game on RS, followed by a solid showing on JP which I could not overtake. Nice 2-win victory!

1 Danny Backglass Belrose (70)
2 Noah Davis (15)
3 Ryan Gratzer (5)
4 Steve Lampros
5 Rob Timberlake
5 Jason America
7 Dennis Brenhaug
7 Elijah St. Clair
9 Ben Applebaum
9 Johnny Mayer
9 Eric Hill
9 Jake McGhee
13 Mike Coppolino
13 Zoe Vrabel
13 James Adamson
13 Emma Davis
17 Fred Franken
17 Aaron Nelson

Mr. Backglass - We'll meet again on Dracula some day . . .
