You guys are welcome to crash at our house. No chickens (yet), but it features indoor plumbing etc. . .

whoa, don't spoil them, Noah.

In addition to plumbing. Noah has like 9 machines.

Dropshot has my paragon, and something else I think.

Alright, we are making a few final adjustments on our algorithm to make sure people are playing different machines and players the entire time. This should be a lot of fun and a good turnout. For those that don't know it is this Saturday at Slabtown. Doors open at 12:00 noon, I advise you be there at that time as well. Registration closes at 12:30 SHARP, no phone calls saying you will be there is 5 minutes. $30 is admission for 8 guaranteed rounds of 4 player pinball matches. boints will be award 4 2 1 and 0 respectively for 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th place per 4 player group on each machine. After the 8 rounds we will move on to the finals which will include the top 8 finishers. Top 8 places get payouts, top qualifier receives $50 top female receives $50 (3 entrants required). On top of that a few games have been switched out. The current line-up is as follows, those that are *(starred) will be included during the event:

Pinball Magic
Whirlwind*
Johnny Mnemonic*
Demolition Man*
Party Zone
Dr. Dude
The Addam's Family*
Medieval Madness*
Twilight Zone*
F-14 Tomcat
Dr. Who*
Swords of Fury

The eighth machine has not been decided yet, also if their are more than 32 entrants there will be more than just 8 machines used.

Hope to see you all there!

oh and wish COW a good time in Japan!

Question about the 8, 4 player, single game qualifying rounds. Will we be with the same 3 other players for all 8, 1 game rounds? Or will it be against 3 different (or at least randomly selected) people for each of the qualifying rounds. I'm hoping it'll be the latter, but I understand if that would be too complicated to arrange. If it's the former, please don't put me in Cayle or Dropshots group (be ready to hear that a lot!) ;)

What happens if we don't have a multiple of 4 for the players?

Yes, we will have it set up so that everyone plays 8 different machines against different players each time. If we don't have an exact multiple of four, then there will be a limited number of byes that will be randomly distributed. So in the case of a three player match plus one bye spot the scoring will just become 4, 2, 1, and the bye will get the zero.

also, the 8th machine will be

F-14 Tomcat

along with

Demo Man
Johnny Mnemonic
Addam's Family
Whirlwind
Twilight Zone
Medieval Madness
Dr. Who

One tip on Demo Man is that it is very difficult to hit the left ramp...hint hint save your secret jackpot hint hint

F-14 tomcat is sweet! It used to be at this indoor soccer place when I was a kid and it was the only game I could get replays on so I played the hell out of it! It better treat me right!!
