This is an awesome show! Keith Elwin & I are setting up the tournament pins again this year. Split flipper doubles & Pin-bingo are great!

Got any lines on cheap hotels and flights?

Flights from Portland to sacramento are

- $60 on the thursday the 1st (all day)

- $60-$70 on Sunday the 4th back to portland.

Gotta rent a car in Sac - it's an hour and 20 minute drive from the show.

I bet you could find something pretty cheap in Novato which is only a 20 minute drive. San francisco is only a half hour . . .

There are some hostels you can stay at in San Francisco that are pretty cheap. $56 for the whole weekend for one person - maybe it gets cheaper w/ more folks?

I'd check the city center or Downtown locations

http://www.sfhostels.com/

Best way to get from San Fran to the Marin Civic center would be to rent a car - otherwise it's a busride w/ a transfer or 2 via

Noah, where are you seeing $60 flights to Sac?

I'm looking on kayak.com
I can't leave until Friday afternoon, and I am staying in California until Monday, the 12th. I'm seeing like $230 for my roundtrip...

Also, the website doesn't appear to have tournament information. Is there a tournament?

There will be a tournament - I think it's going to run like the one at the NW show. That's awesome you're going! My buddy Helms kinda running the show this year so he's really busy, but I'll try and set up a hangout in his barn (100+ machines) with whoever comes down for the show. It's nuts.

I can't even find mention of it...

It's not really a link to the tournament info, but it does say Tournament (TBA). Helm said they're having one, so I guess I'm assuming he ain't pulling my chain.

Looks the Metallica machine will be playable . . . for $5 a game. It's for a good cause though. A fund raiser to put a new roof on the Pacific Pinball warehouse.

My basic plan is to camp Future Spa, and soak in as much vibes from it as possible.

Wish I had a good option for ya kickback. I'm staying at my folks place which is a 45 minute drive from the show - and I'm going to be working while I'm down there, so that makes transportation really tricky.

They FINALLY posted some tournament information on the site - http://www.pacificpinball.org/post.php?post=400

I hear only 4 machines, a one time entry fee for the tourney plus you got to buy your game entries plus the show is taking 25% plus you got to pay to get into the event. That sucks but what's going on down there? With PPE event sounding like a rip off other than the fact of the few hundred machines PDX needs to capitalize!
