April 26th PPL end of the Year Tourney

I think Eric told me last night the PPL is having a tourney at GK on April 4th, which is a Saturday. This would be a great opportunity to get some head to head practice down at GK before the big event. Rom or Eric or Sauce even if you guys have any more/new/different info please keep us informed.

Anthony had proposed this on the PPL message board, but I'm not sure the date was ever set in stone. These tournaments are usually head to head, double elimination, best of three matches. Definitely great practice for the big one on the 19th.

Any further news on this? It isn't on the PPL calendar.

I haven't heard anything, and I've missed the last three weeks or so (and will miss tonight). If someone goes tonight, they should ask Anthony and Jeff.

Anthony was a no show for tonight. In talking with Jeff it sounded like the tourney was going to be the weekend following the GK tourney (4/25-6). This week was the last week of the current league, but it sounds like we are going to start a new "season" next week due to the overall increased turnout this season.

This is definitely not happening until the end of April at the earliest. There's a poll on the asking what dates work best for people.

The PPL End of Season Tourney will be held this Sunday, 1pm, at Ground Kontrol. You do NOT have to have attended a meeting to participate. So get some extra mileage out of all that practice you put in for the Pinbrawl and come down and play!

any word on the entry fee or top prize?

$5 entry fee. The top prize is usually a $20 gift certificate to GK, plus like 2/3 of the entrance fees. Last time I got $35, I think. But I'm guessing more people will enter this one, since more people seem to be paying attention this time around.
