Obviously this won't be active until the tournament starts tomorrow. Really cool that we can track everyones progress.

Good luck to all the NW players!

Nice, 7 wins is pretty solid! I wonder what the cut-off will be for A division. 35 or even 40 maybe?

I'm assuming he means 7 boints . . . i think they've only done 1 round, but maybe I'm off base.

Edit - I think I am off base . . . if you place first on a machine in your group of 4, you get 3 wins - right?

yeah, but seems like referring to them as boints makes more sense. although bi-pointing just doesn't have that "Charlie Sheen feel"

Looks like Rob, Isaac and Pat are 44, 47, and 51 going into what I would assume to be the final round for the day. Good thing they aren't even closer in rank or the could be the the same groups. 3 good showings in this round could vault them all into the top 30's going into day 2.

Does anyone know if a person on the lower end of the "A" bank will get bumped to "B" due to a pre-seeded A person?

Example - say Pat is ranked #38 after todays rounds. He's technically in the top 1/3 putting him playing "A" tomorrow. A player like Cayle is playing A regardless, but his qualifying scores today (so far) would have put him in "B". Does Cayle play in "A" and Pat in B? Or do they both play in A, but Cayle has a hell of a steep climb as he's got a point deficit to make up?

Note - I'm writing this with Round 5 still an unknown - we all know Cayle can pull out a 9 putting him in (or close to) the A bracket (based on todays win/loss record).

so I think there's 18 people initially ranked as A division. 1/3 of the field would be 58, so that's 40 A division spots up for grabs. Also, since A division scores carry over, you can't really sandbag at all to improve your position Saturday.

I just asked Bowen and the short answer is "yes".

Also everyone you know made B division. So it goes.

As per usual course, I'm photographing the happenings here.

Which right now just means picture of Rhodes, Isaac, Jeff, Rob and Paul drinking cheap beer in an alley:

I played like shit yesterday, so honestly a little surprised I ended up just a few boints shy of A. I was thinking I would be int he C-Cellar all day.

Julie (who's come to a bunch of PDX events) was kicking ass and taking names yesterday, it was cool to see.
