We are working on it right now. The date is April 17th. Limited to 128 contestants. Best 2 of 3 double elimination. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Pre-registration will be open within the next day or two. Just working out a few kinks and getting a formal write up together. $20 entry, grand prize pinball machine. Not sure which one yet, we have many leads and options but haven't settled on one yet. There will also be cash prizes.

The potential art theme this year might be Rudy and Ted in a rock 'em sock 'em kinda thing. Not positive though.

In other news: I'm glad that Pinbrawl helped me settle the MPE vs. PATZ debate.

Looking forward to this but interested in a detail or two since I haven't been to a previous Pinbrawl. I see that doors open at 10 a.m. on April 17. Does competition begin right then? i.e. should registrants be there right then. I assume so, but I'm planning around something I just heard about the same morning and before I commit to that second thing I want to know if I'll actually have time, or should get straight to pinbrawl.

Dropshot will probably chime in with the official start time. I wouldn't recommend being their much later than 10am. If your match gets called and you're MIA for more than 5 minutes, it's considered a forfeit.

Doors will open at 10am. If the tournament isn't full we will be taking day of registration up till 11:00. If we have filled the bracket prior to the actual day we will try to start the tournament by 11:00. If there people who sign up on the day we will probably be starting by 11:30. So I would be there before before 11. We will be making announcements about rules and everything else prior to beginning. Those could start as early as 10:45. Keep in mind there will be no warming up on the machines the morning of.

Guys, contact Josh and get it registered immediately... would be a terrible shame if a tourney this big didn't get the boints it deserved (along with all the players supporting it!! )

I think Josh knows about it, I told him a few months back. It is in it's third installment. It should be fine, next time I email him I will mention it though.
