Cheap local pins on eBay

There's a Strange Science and a Spy Hunter for sale on eBay. The machines are in Eugene and they're still pretty cheap. Strange Science is a really fun game and could be a good project for someone.

that spy hunter would make a great anchor for my boat, keeping an eye on the price...

Is Popeye really that bad? I'd been hoping to play it at the NW Show, but I never saw it on the floor. I think it looks okay!

Spy Hunter is pretty blech. It seems neat/novel at first, but it's not so fun.

I played Popeye at the Pin Hall of Fame in Vegas . . . it's not that great. I'd take Gilligans over it any day (I actually rather liked Gilligans after finally playing it yesterday - feels like a sys11). ANYWAY, Popeye has large area of the playfield that's covered in clear plexiglass. As we know most machines with "windows" in the playfield are pretty tough to see through after all these years. Maybe a super clean popeye would be fun, but when I played it, you couldn't see the ball 50% of the time.

I generally love Pythons crazy themes. . . Popeye gathering all the animals on the planet into a Noah's Ark style boat, before the end of the world comes - sounds great! In reality, not so much. While we're on the Python cartoon pinball topic - I didn't think too much of Bugs Bunnys Birthday Bash either.

I may drop a bid on Strange Science if no one has thrown down on it at the end of the auction.

I wussed on dropping the last minute bid.

$340 for Strange Science seems like a good deal, depending on how in depth the required repairs are. If you bought it . . . I wanna come play it - that game is fun.
