3500 LED Lights on CL in PDX for 1200.00

Anyone possibly interested in going in on a bulk amount of LED's? I am good for a few hundo. Bet he might take 1G for them since they have been sitting there for awhile.

I approached Mike Mahaffey about this. He is trying to sell his HUO Fathom so he can afford them. I would have bought the pin, but it's a D1 Mylar playfield and I don't need another project Bally. If I had a dollar for all the Mylar I've torn off playfields. Well i'd have 2$

He mentioned to me in passing that he would come off it for a case of 9-LED 906 flashers. Told me he's never been the same since playing that BDK at Shorty's.

I was playing MM at Shortys and a kid wAs watching me. I defeated the last castle. And bam the poor kid had a seizure. I stuck my wallet in his mouth and got barnyard Multi! Woot

I would've snagged the 3500 LED's in a minute but I just bought 1000 of these from KME LLC and will be converting all my Ballys over this month

I installed the KME 290w's I absolutely love how nicely they've moulded the plastics. My ramps have the coolest jumps in them. An added bonus! Once I install all the lights that pesky Mylar just slips right off.

why is it that LED's have that strobe effect on the ball . they give me a headache and make my eyes hurt

GI flickers because the bulbs are powered with AC and feature lamps flicker because they're usually pulsed to accommodate a matrix. This isn't a problem with tungsten bulbs because the filament remains red hot for a short duration after voltage is removed - long enough to appear lit persistently.

They've got a long way to go before they're suitable for pins IMO. However, for things like bike lights and head lamps etc, they're great.

Jeri has put her modded LEDs in a lot of Ricochet's machines in town (unless I'm mistaken). It seems like she's figured out the flickering problem. But I don't know if the mod is being used by anyone else.

Jeri came up with an awesome fix. Not sure if she implemented this in any machine besides the BK2K at C-Bar, but that BK2K is by far the best use of LEDs I've seen in a pinball.
