This isn't a problem with tungsten bulbs because the filament remains red hot for a short duration after voltage is removed - long enough to appear lit persistently.

Bummer, reading shit like this reminds me of when outfits like Zumiez and other chain mall outlets started carrying skate shit effectively killing tons of local skate shops. Taking the Wal Mart approach would seem to indicate they are incredibly desperate to make a buck, even to the point of pissing off the people who have effectively carried them for the last several years.
