Bally Game Show seized by the government

It is in Pendleton and was at $100 with a couple days left on the eBay auction. It is for sale by the State of Oregon, most likely because it was seized from a drug dealer.

There is no way to know if it works or if it even has any boards inside it. The webiste for the State agency selling it says that if you buy something from them on eBay and it is significantly different from how it was described there is a chance to get your money back.

You can see "Ball 1" in the display so it definitely boots and starts a game.

It's at $1050 with 6 hours left - amazing.

And I'll say it was seized by the government - that always lends an extra touch of perceived value.

Not sure that I agree with that, Opto. But I don't have the facts to back it up... From what I've observed, seized houses and cars and whatnot usually go for cheaper than normally would.

I'm basing my statement solely on the fact that, that dumb game is going to sell for over a grand. It's gotta be cuz it was seized by the government . . . or am I missing something? When was that game worth 1k??

No offense to all the Game Show lovers out there.

So you're saying that you were making some sort of "humorous observation"? I will process this, and get back to you.

END OF LINE.

I think part of it is the psychology of the bidding process; it started at like $100, so a lot of people got in then, thinking it'd be cheap... and now several of them are "hooked" and feel like they *have* to win...

Not that I've ever done that or anything.
It's just what I've heard, just what I've heard.

I do like Game Show, though. Not $1k like, but $500-$600 like. I mean, isn't it the same as Mousing Around? HA HA HA.

Okay, I'm done typing now.

Maybe it's the guy who got it seized and he knows that the cab is stuffed with cash and/or drugs. That would be the only way this thing is worth a G.
