I've noticed some new posts on craigslist. 2 different newbies saturating the board with WTB posts. I also saw that someone posted specifically to talk shit to one of them. I wonder what is going on? Competition for machines is not very fun anymore. Few people with resources are taking everything in sight for their financial gain/bragging rights/other poorly driven ideals and taking away from true ballers. Prices on CL have doubled and the quality of machines has gone way down. Part of the catch 22 of expanding pinball. None of them even played pinball 5 years agoIt. 's kind of like when your fav band was unknown and you were their biggest fan, then they went mainstream and the kids that called you stupid for wearing a band shirt no one heard of take their bloated allowances and buy everything the band ever put out. Pop will eat itself and many of them will get bored of pinball and move on to the next hip craze. Here's to then.

will that also be the day when the operators start selling all their machines, too? whoopee! oh wait, no..

I am for pinball continuing to get popular.

(but this is from someone who spends quarters, and not hundros, on pinball)

Oh ROM - don't kid yourself . . . you spend hundo's - only a quarter at a time.

Yeah - it could easily be bullshit. I believe a $175 Gorgar could pop up - even a nice one. People who don't know pinball, will try and sell them for crazy prices high and low - it's the same reason you'll see a garbage EM for $5000. The person selling it has no idea. I'm fine with the idea that the first person to the game, gets to buy it - I'm on the internet all day, and looking . . . all day, every day. The thing I can't stand is when I've talked to the seller as the first person to respond, said I'll come look at the game and bring cash, only to have them tell me 3 hours later "game sold". Whatever - I shouldn't complain. I've read stories on RGP about people making arrangments for pickup, driving 8 hours away, only to show up to find no game and have the seller tell them "sorry, someone just picked it up". Now, THAT is bullshit.

Oh . . . also - seeing a game for a great price pop up a week later at a greatly inflated price is also a bummer - either a flipper, or someone who got lots of responses

I know. But saying I don't drop hundros at one time was my way of saying that I don't look at craigslist for machines, and am not worried about their prices. My concerns are with the machines on location, mostly. And my POINT was that there are two sides to every coin - pinball is more popular and machines prices are going up; pinball is more popular and more machines are on location and it's rad.

Orr was crazy, Yossarian was aware, and Doc Deneeka agreed. It's to bad Chaplain was the only one that cared while Major Major was afraid and Milo benefited. Poor Snowden.

Because Bobby Orr and the Blakchawks suck, 'Canada' isn't even a hockey team. Who the hell even made that machine. I am waiting for hockey to become America's greatest sport and favorite pastime, pinball becomes the #1 activity for all ages alike to play and in culmination of the two the greatest pinball machine ever made is created! Clarence S Campbell v. Prince of Wales: Battle for Lord Stanley.
