Hawthorne Theatre - Vintage Arcade Game Room?

Postby ROM on Fri Aug 14, 2009 7:16 pm

I just saw at ad that says a vintage arcade game room opened up in the Hawthorne Theatre Lounge. It lists a bunch of classic arcade games. Does anyone know if it has pinball?

Interacting with the employees there makes me want to kill myself. I will, however, set that aside and check tomorrow afternoon. They did have one machine before...but I'm sure you already knew that.

Played a show there and the staff was awful. So was the crowd in the bar. Douche central. Good machines would get me there, during off hours.

We just picked up this location. Thanks Mike!

The new manager seemed very enthusiastic and wants 5-6 pins. Dropping of T-2 tomorrow, since it's in the van and start shopping out more as fast as we can.

Terminator 2 went in tonight. The manager was excited to have tournaments there.

Solar City should be ready go in tomorrow. An electromechanical blast from the past with 5 balls per 25 cents!

What do you guys think about Bride of Pin*bot and Tommy in this location?

SUPER EXCITED ABOUT SOLAR CITY!!! I'm curious to play Tommy in a location that doesn't require it to be super floaty (Gypsy), so I'm into it.

Since you're asking - BoP could stay at the Gypsy and that would be fine by me. Maybe another EM or more classic game? ? ?

new manager? i'll keep my fingers crossed that that changes things. i've been to a couple of shows at the HT and the general attitude was totally unnecessary. even when i was on the list for shows there was excessive security and really crappy hassles from everyone, security on down. the bartenders acted like they didn't even want my money. if they're going to have some pins, hopefully they'll just open the bar separately.

do you guys have a junkyard? i like that game and can't think of anywhere that has one these days, unless there's still one down at oaks park. what about something like party zone or earthshaker? what about the hurricane that was at voodoo?

Johnny is still Papa style tight on the tilt, which is fine, except for when the ball got caught on the left inlane switch. Usually a small nudge will do it no problem, cant get away with that...

Solar City is playing awesome!
