the most useful part of that site is the "tournament high scores" section because it's all documented and the machines would be set to high difficulty and so on. still there are some folks on there that are freaks of nature. i'm not sure whether to believe half of them, i'm assuming they must be real (why would anyone bother to post a bunch of wanky un-real scores-- who will be impressed by the fame of that?) but that doesn't mean there isn't something fishy about them, like easier settings than they claim, or no tilt and a trick to keep shit in play, or who knows what. i'm just saying many of the scores probably didn't happen under conditions that would qualify them for the guiness book. but there are still some damn insane scores on there that have to be legit, and it's a good index of whether the high scores you see around here on location are truly high on average, or not.
i think a local high scores feature will be pretty cool-- again it's all about people getting into it and actually posting. we could do more to get bar owners to let us post some info/resources around by machines, and that would be pretty rad.
