Pinball in movies catalog

Being the absolute dorks we are, I know that whenever one of us hears the slightest chime in a movie scene, we start looking for the game. I even catch myself trying to look around people in the scene (which is not possible, i know). I recently saw the end of the movie August by accident, just in time to see Josh Hartnett playing a High Roller. Some other character walked up, complimented his jackpot and asked if he could get next. Hartnett cooly replied, "gonna be a while". Then he played split flipper with the guy. Now I want to watch that second rate flick, just to see what else might be in it pinball related.

There's always the Bad Santa scene where Billy Bob Thornton dry humps a young girl during a game of pinball. I don't remember seeing what machine it was though. Then of course none of us will ever forget Jodi Foster in The Accused. I really can't bring myself to rent that one to see what machine she gets raped on. boints to anyone with the moxie for that one, I guess. I think that scene alone, set women in pinball back 20 years, and probably had a part in the decline of pinball in bars period! I had a room mate with a porno that had a guy doing 2 girls on a Fish Tales! Very fitting, every coin slot filled, so to speak. Couldn't really get more info on it because I don't really want to talk to room mates about their porn habits or collections.

So here it goes! Let's get this list going. Tommy is redundant unless you point out specific games, for instance I saw Royal Flush in one scene. I think I saw one in Rivers Edge. Guess I've got my own research to do.

There is an EM in Casino Royale, and a KISS in that movie where the two dudes have the 'little brothers' oh yeah role models. Well upon doing research for the Casino Royale game I found this http://www.pingeek.com/film/film.htm but lets not cheat. What else can we come up with? Good thinking Jay, I am always looking for pins in movies. Oh, and this cartoon is actually pretty good, besides the badass pinball machine. http://dexzen.com/adultswimepisodes/eps ... /oz213.htm

I think it was Paragon in Bad Santa! at least... I've seen some fairly recent movie where there's a Paragon in a bar.

There's pinball on the island in Lost.
And there's pinball in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the tv show), at the demon bar.

Pick Up Summer was originally supposed to be called Pinball Pickup. I want to see this movie but have not been able to find it anywhere. It's based on some guys going to a pinball tourney and picking up girls along the way or something like that.

Jodi Foster rippin the fuk outta "Kingpin" in the movie "Tilt". Looking back, I question her strategy of going for the upper targets.

There's like 4 machines in "Detroit Rock City". A Kiss machine and three others that I can't figure out.

there's a flash gordon in the station house in ghostbusters.
This isn't a problem with tungsten bulbs because the filament remains red hot for a short duration after voltage is removed - long enough to appear lit persistently.

IIRC the pinball in Lost (in the Dharma Initiative rec room) is a Cyclone.

One of the subplots of "The Verdict" features Paul Newman trying to GC a Disco fever.

*SPOILER ALERT*

When he finally does, no one cares.

Dertroit Rock City was on the other night at the C-Bar. I think the other machines were Stikes and Spares, Nugent, and Power Play. Couldn't ask for a better Midwest lineup.

Speaking of Flash Gordon, I've got a good lead on one dirt cheap in a house in Lake Oswego

Speaking of Paul Newman . . . we watched Slapshot last night and there are 3 machines in the dingy bar the Chiefs hang out it. I couldn't tell which ones they were, but I think it was 2 bingos and an EM.

Billy Bob is dry humping the chick on a Getaway in Bad Santa.

There's a whole slew of pins in Adventureland - I think the main character is playing a Gorgar at some point. Also, in Dazed and Confused there's a rec center w/ a bunch of pins, and while they don't serve alcohol it appears to be a BYOB hang out.

Oh and who could forget Tom Hanks getting his Pinbot delivered in BIG?

There's also a Buffy episode in season 6 where she meets the three nerdy supervillians in an arcade. In that scene, there's a Funhouse and a couple other machines...

In Whip It, the cuuuuuute boy wears his pinball high score on his jacket and takes his ladyfriend to the arcade he plays at. If my memory isn't clouded by my girlish squealing, I think it's some sort of EM.
