Pinball in movies catalog

Talk about machines, scores, brawls, bonus multipliers, and so on.

I guess there was a Nip-It machine at Arnold's from Happy Days.

Thus it shows up in Weezer's Buddy Holly video @ 2:28

I caught glimpse of a pin in "Car Wash" last night, was on at Red Flag while I was playing Creature so I didn't catch which game it was.

Luckily, I have this on DVD.

I can't identify the game, particularly since Franklyn Ajaye's afro is blocking half of it.

Any ideas?

This reminds me, I saw two movies recently with pinball machines in them.

Flight of the Red Balloon - A scene where a nanny takes a child to a cafe in Paris and the child plays a Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Man On the Train - A scene in a diner in a small town in France where a group of guys get into a fight next to a Revenge From Mars.

I watched Whip It last night - the main character's d-bag boyfriend was supposedly a pinball wizard with a 3million plus score on some EM. I couldn't identify the game though.

the car wash pin is a spirit of '76.
This isn't a problem with tungsten bulbs because the filament remains red hot for a short duration after voltage is removed - long enough to appear lit persistently.

Or is it Pioneer . . . or perhaps the elusive New York? It's probably Spirit . . .

Here's another one. On "My Name Is Earl" there were two pinball machines in the Crab Shack.

There are three unidentified machines in The Pelican Brief. A bad guy pretends to play one of them while he attempts to hit on Julia Roberts. It's a real quick scene, and you just can't tell what the games are.

season six of law and order: svu. never seen that before, and neither has ipdb. they're investigating a gang called the stone cold assassins, and apparently you can find the members playing a lot of pinball. i think we have competition, guys...

Stir Crazy. Two different bar scenes in the first 10 minutes with up to 10 machines, including one being worked on.

Dazed and confused has 10 or so at the emporium. Slater is playing one with zipper flippers and a spinning disc in the center.
