Photographing pinball at tournaments and elsewhere

Hey,

I just got a new camera and I'm thinking about taking it with me to the next weekly I'm able to attend (hopefully tomorrow) and down to Eugene on Saturday, if I can indeed make it.

I'd like to start shooting some pinball machines, playing, etc., and I'm wondering about two things: A)thoughts you all have on how not to be an asshole while doing so. I can guess the basics: no flash, don't get too close, etc. Anything else? B)any tips or strategies from other photographers on taking good shots of pinball machines and people playing pinball?

Thanks for whatever thoughts you have.

High ISO, slow shutter speed, and a tripod. I know it sucks to tote those things around, but due to the low light in most bars it really helps keep a steady photo.

Thanks! That helps. Now to remember actually bringing my SD card with me when I bring the camera.

And just take a lot a lot a lot of pictures. For "action shots" maybe 5% will be useable.
